You can apply for your Professional Registration with the Engineering Council while applying for RINA Membership, as RINA is a Nominated and Licensed Body of the Engineering Council. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you can apply to become:
A Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Engineering Technician (EngTech). The professional title you're elegible for depends on your experience and the grade of RINA membership you hold. Both applications (RINA Membership & Professional Registration) can be completed at the same time, with guidance from our membership team.
What you should submit:
1. A 3000-5000 word report comprising 3 parts:
Part 1: Summary of your career to date
Part 2: Using your IPD logs as a basis, detail your work experience to date, aligning with the Engineering Council criteria
Part 3: A summary of your CPD and self-development reflections/activity
A certified copy of your education documents
